Patty Mills Heads to Tenerife
Patty Mills joins Tenerife
Veteran guard Patty Mills has agreed to a deal with Tenerife that keeps him with the club through the end of the 2025–26 season. The move adds a steady, experienced voice to the roster and gives Tenerife a proven scorer and leader for the remainder of this campaign and beyond.
What he brings and career highlights
Mills is an NBA champion (2014 with the San Antonio Spurs) and was a standout for his national team, earning a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics — a performance that helped earn him the nickname “FIBA Patty Mills.” Across 921 NBA games he averaged 8.7 points and 2.0 assists per contest, and connected on roughly 38.5% of his three-point attempts.
Over his career he has played for several NBA teams, including the Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks, Utah Jazz, Miami Heat, and most recently the Los Angeles Clippers in 2025. Off the court, he also took on an executive role when he was hired by the University of Hawaii as general manager on June 10, 2025.
Expect Tenerife to lean on Mills’ shooting, experience in big moments, and leadership as the team pushes through the rest of the season. More details about his role and debut will be announced by the club soon.
