Valencia dominate Zaragoza to return to winning ways
Valencia cruise to a big home win
Valencia blew past Zaragoza 115-73 in the rescheduled Round 10 of the Liga Endesa, producing a dominant performance from the first whistle. Coach Pedro Martínez rested Darius Thompson as the club manages a busy EuroLeague schedule, and the rest of the roster stepped up to deliver a comfortable victory.
The hosts established an early lead and kept growing it throughout the game, controlling the tempo on both ends and ending a two-game skid that included defeats to Monaco and Unicaja.
Key performers and looking ahead
Jean Montero topped Valencia’s scoring with 21 points. Sergio De Larrea and Omari Moore added 14 each, while Matthew Costello (13), Brancou Badio (12), Jaime Pradilla (11) and Xabi López-Arostegui (10) also reached double figures.
For Zaragoza, Devin Robinson led the visitors with 19 points, Santi Yusta scored 17 and Joaquín Rodríguez chipped in 11.
The win leaves Valencia second in the Liga Endesa with a 12–3 record. They’ll head to face Fenerbahçe in EuroLeague play before visiting Real Madrid in the domestic league next weekend. Zaragoza sit 11th at 6–9 and will travel to Murcia in their next Liga Endesa fixture.
Valencia will look to carry this momentum into their upcoming busy slate of fixtures.
