Kevin Love could reunite with LeBron as 76ers explore roster move
Kevin Love has popped up as a possible target for the Philadelphia 76ers after LeBron James chose to sign with the team. Love’s agent, Jeff Schwartz, has reportedly been in touch with Philadelphia’s front office, and there’s mutual interest in reuniting Love with his former Cavs teammate for another title push.
What the 76ers would have to consider
On paper a Love signing would bring veteran leadership, outside shooting and frontcourt depth, but Philadelphia would need to clear a roster spot first — they currently filled their final opening by adding Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. The team already has Joel Embiid anchoring the frontcourt and two young centers, Adem Bona and Ariel Hukporti, on the books, so coaches and executives will have to decide if Love’s role and minutes fit the long-term plan.

Love and LeBron have championship experience together from their Cleveland run, which included the 2016 title. Love adjusted his game back then to become a floor-spacing big who willingly sacrificed ball-dominant stats to fit the roster. Last season with Utah he averaged about 6.7 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting roughly 37% from three, numbers that underline his potential value as a role player on a title-contending team.
There’s also been fan speculation about what a LeBron-led squad in Philadelphia could look like; some supporters have even toyed with dream starting fives online. Whether the front office pursues Love will come down to roster moves, contract logistics and how the coaching staff envisions rotations for a championship run.
