On Christmas Luka Doncic made a big splash with the Los Angeles Lakers by gifting 103 high-end electric bicycles to the team’s players and basketball operations staff. The generous haul is estimated to be worth more than $340,000, according to comments made after a recent practice.
Gift details and a track record of giving
Players were given the All-Wheel Drive S model, which was selling around $3,350 during holiday promotions, while the operations staff received the lighter H/T version, priced near $2,250. The All-Wheel Drive S is aimed at performance riders — it has dual motors, a claimed range of roughly 45–80 miles (72–129 km), and can reach about 36 mph (58 km/h) in Sport Mode.
This gesture adds to Doncic’s history of charitable acts. Earlier this year he donated $500,000 to wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles, showing he’s willing to support the community as well as his teammates.
The surprise brought plenty of holiday cheer to the locker room and reinforced Doncic’s image as not only a standout player but also a considerate teammate.
