                Games to watch
Eight NBA games are on the slate Friday as the regular season rolls on. The matchup drawing the most attention is Philadelphia vs. Boston, and another classic pairing features the Chicago Bulls taking on the New York Knicks.
Injury update
Indiana will be without Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin, T.J. McConnell, Obi Toppin and Kam Jones. On the opposing side, Trae Young is also out.
Philadelphia is missing Dominick Barlow and Jared McCain, while Boston is dealing with a longer absence for Jayson Tatum.
Cleveland has Jarrett Allen and Sam Merrill listed as questionable; Darius Garland and Max Strus are out. Toronto will be without Jakob Poeltl.
Chicago’s injury list includes Zach Collins and Coby White. New York has several players listed as questionable: Miles McBride, Guerschon Yabusele and Mitchell Robinson.
Memphis will be without Ty Jerome, Scotty Pippen Jr., Brandon Clarke and Zach Edey. The Lakers are missing Gabe Vincent, Maxi Kleber, Luka Dončić and LeBron James. (Note: status reports come from team injury lists and can change before tip-off.)
Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green are questionable for Phoenix, and Isaiah Collier will not play for Utah. Portland is short-handed with Scoot Henderson and Damian Lillard out. The Denver Nuggets report no injuries at the moment.
Bradley Beal is listed as questionable for the Clippers. Kevon Looney and Dejounte Murray will not play for New Orleans.
Offensively, Tyrese Maxey has been electric to start the season, posting very high scoring and assist numbers through the early games.
