Barcelona reportedly targeting Moses Wright
Barcelona in the hunt
Reports from Greek media and a recent podcast suggest Barcelona are among the clubs trying to sign Moses Wright from Zalgiris for next season. The Catalan side is planning roster changes and has been linked with several EuroLeague names; Wright has emerged as a realistic target.
Journalist Sotiris Vetakis said Barcelona currently appear to have an advantage in the race. No agreement has been announced, but the player is said to be interested and the club will likely wait to see final offers and how the market unfolds before making a move.
Wright’s season and how he could fit
This season with Zalgiris, Wright is averaging 13.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and a 16.4 PIR across 30 EuroLeague appearances, including 17 starts. He’s been especially hot recently, averaging about 19.7 points and 9.3 rebounds over his last three games. Before joining Zalgiris he had a stint with Olympiacos.
Wright brings inside scoring, athleticism and rebounding — traits that would add size and physicality to Barcelona’s frontcourt. If the club follows through, expect negotiations to play out over the summer as teams firm up offers and decide on roster moves.
